The Pearl – America’s Pearl Harbor Survivor

On December 7, 1941, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor brought the United States fully and finally into World War II. Of the scores of airplanes airborne amidst the violent chaos of that Sunday morning, not many survive. One that did was an unassuming 1941 Interstate Cadet flown by a young flight instructor named Cornelia Fort. The Cadet’s current owner, Greg Anders, EAA 604539, shared the story of this remarkable slice of history with us at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016.
